The process of jeans production is complex, including dozens of procedures. In order to save labor force and improve the production efficiency, factories have made most of the process automated, obtaining considerable economic value. However, the automation problem of the sweeping powder technology of jeans garment cutting pieces hasn’t been solved.Artificial sweeping powder costs lots of energy and time. What’s more, the working efficiency is low(about 5.58 second per piece). It can’t meet the requirements of mass production. By doing some research on the characteristics of denim, a new type of automatic sweeping powder and separating cutting pieces device is designed, based on the analysis of existing automatic sweeping powder and separating programs. It not only solves the automation problems of jeans pieces sweeping powder process, but also makes it possible to realize the automation of the fabric pieces separating related processes to satisfy the needs of the industry.Firstly, according to the production process requirements develop new powder and design appropriate automatic sweeping powder program. Meanwhile, study the existing automatic separating program and analyze the different kinds of pieces. According to the feature of jeans pieces, put forward the method that using a roller which is equipped with a number of needles on its surface to roll up pieces of cloth to achieve automatic subdivision.Secondly, device structure model and specific machine size charts are established, with the help of Pro/E and AutoCAD. Manufacture independent working stations and do experiments. According to the test results and statistics, Analyze the influence of various parameters on the automatic sweeping powder and automatic separating pieces.Thirdly, combine the two stations and plan the workflow and layout of the whole device.Design automatic control system and select rational distribution of sensors and PLC.Depending on the operating conditions, adjust the motion parameters, until the optimal value.Finally, with the help of HyperMesh software, build finite element model of the rack.Deformation analysis and modal analysis is done by means of Nastran. Find out the unreasonable aspects of the design and the selection to do some improvement.
