In recent decades the 1,3-dioxane compounds are still a class research central issue. First, it plays a role in the protection of functional groups,also can be used as an organics intermediate. Meanwhile it can selectively protect the target compound to obtain the desired product. As a class of acetal(ketone) compounds, which can be used to design into a new class of biodegradable surfactants, their synthetic steps are simple and high conversion rate. These products have the advantages of traditional surfactants, and meet the requirements of modern green chemistry. Cyclic acetal can be used as a source of perfume additives, these products gradually occupy a place in the market and are widely recognized in public. Based on the above facts, a series of novel 1,3-dioxane compounds and some derivatives are synthesized and their structures and properties were determined.The first chapter of this paper is about the progress in the synthesis of 1,3-dioxane ring compounds. The second chapter is the synthesis of 12 kinds of 1,3-dioxane compounds by using 2,2-dihydroxymethyl butanol and aldehyde(ketone) as raw materials, respectively; the synthesis of 1,3-dioxane twelve acetal(ketone) contrast with conventional heating and microwave radiation and the optimum conditions of(5-ethyl-2-methyl-2-phenyl-1,3-dioxan-5-yl)methanol were investigated from the microwave power level, the amount of catalyst, ratio of reaction materials, reaction temperature. The third chapter is the synthesis of 8 kinds of 1,3-dioxane compounds by using timethylolethane and aldehyde(ketone) as raw materials and the optimum conditions of(2-(4-chlorophenyl)-5-methyl-1,3-dioxan-5-yl)methanol were investigated from the ratio of reaction materials, reaction time, the amount of catalyst and dosage of DMF. The fourth chapter is the synthesis of 7 kinds of 1,3-dioxane compounds by using diethyl bis-(hydroxymethyl)malonate and aldehyde(ketone) as raw materials. The performance, including critical micelle concentration, foamability, emulsifying properties and Krafft point determination of 4 kinds of acetal-type biodegradable anionic surfactants was tested. The fifth chapter is about the crystal structure. We obtained eight single crystals, and five crystal data are given which combine the crystal structure with 1HMNR. The sixth chapter is about the synthesized compounds antibacterial experiments. Through Antibacterial experiments, we found that the target compounds have dramatically good biological activity for Bacillus subtilis and Staphylococcus aureus.
