Semiconductor photocatalyst has attracted intense research interest for their potential applications in global environmental pollutant control and energy production, especially in organic dye decomposition and water splitting for hydrogen production. Up to now, a large number of semiconductor photocatalysts have been intensively investigated because of the proper physical and chemical properties, especially their ability to decompose the organic dyes. However, due to the band gap energy, most semiconductor photocatalysts, like Ti O2, Zn O, can be excited under UV irradiation which accounts for less than 5% of the sunlight. Recently, the bismuth-based photocatalytic materials have aroused increasing interest due to the unique electron structure of Bi and many bismuth-based compounds were reported as photocatalysts. Bi2MoO6(band gap ~2.7 e V) is a simple n-type semiconductor with a layered Aurivillius structure, which has been widely studied as a promising candidate as visible-light-responsive photocatalyst. In this thesis, the prepareation of the compound semiconductor photocatalyst material was carried out to further improve the performance of Bi2MoO6 photocatalyst.We had employed a facile alkali etching method to prepare Bi2MoO6/Bi2O3 heterojunctions, the composite was analyzed by XRD,SEM,TEM,DRS characterization with in-depth analysis. The results showed that the photocatalyst have sheet structure, the p-n junctions would benefit transfer of photoexcited electrons. The Rh B dye was used as the target evalution of its photocatalytic performance.On basis of Bi2MoO6, we had secondary preparation of the Bi2MoO6/Ag2 O composites photocatalyst. The composite was analyzed by XRD,SEM,DRS characterization with in-depth analysis. The Rh B dye was used as the target evalution of its photocatalytic performance. The results showed that the Bi2MoO6/Ag2 O photocatalyst exhibited more excellent photocatalytic properties.Eficient Bi2O2CO3/Bi2O3 composite photocatalysts were developed by tailoring the calcinations of precursor. The Rh B dye was used as the target evalution of its photocatalytic performance. The composite was analyzed by XRD,SEM,DRS characterization with in-depth analysis. The results showed that the photocatalyst calcined 8 hours exhibited more excellent photocatalytic properties at 270 oC.
