The crude copper is obtained from the secondary copper resource by smelting. During the production of crude copper, gold and silver and tin and many other elements are enriched in the copper anode slime. As the content of tin, lead and barium sulfate is high in the copper anode slime. The traditional wet process and the BOF process are faced with some problems and the current anode slime treatment process for the copper anode slime obtained from tin and lead industry are not suitable for the treatment of the copper anode slime with much impurities. There is none suitable treatment process can be directly applied at this kind of copper anode slime in non-ferrous metal smelting industry.The copper anode slime containing gold, silver, copper, tin, lead, antimony, selenium, nickel, platinum, palladium, barium and arsenic element. The recovery process selected is based on the product style, the recovery rate of metal, equipment investment, cost for handling, stability and adaptability of the process, the discharge of "three wastes", safe and clean in the operation, the backlog of the metal in the process. Therefore, according to the composition of copper anode mud composition and the requirements of clean production, this paper developed a new method of combined treatment process. The main process is copper anode slime roasting—sulfuric acid leaching—reduction smelting for the filtration residue—lead tin alloy electrolysis—recover the noble metal from soldering tin anode slime.In this process, the recovery rate of meta lwas determined by the operation of the electric furnace smelting operation. The slag system commonly used in nonferrous metallurgy is iron olivine based slag, in order to avoid the complex of copper anode slime smelting slag produced during leaching of Pb Sn alloy hard head, and more conducive to the removal of barium, this study uses non slag system, therefore, focuses on the research of new type of slag, slag adjustment provided basis for the smooth operation of electric furnace.The core of this process is reduction smelting process in the electric furnace. According to the of parameters of the slag type and the analysis results, the composition of the slagging constituent is 57.4%SiO2-21.3%CaO-13.9%Al2O3-7.4%NaO, the slag properties meets to the requirements for mineral hot furnace smelting.The leaching ratio of copper is 95.5% in the leaching process and it is 82.3% for silver. The concentration of Cu and Ag is 16.28g/L and 8.82g/L respectively in leaching solution.Smelting slag obtained from the smelting process, containing Sn 1.06%, Pb2.22% and Ag 205g/T. The mass loss is 30% in smelting process. The loss ratio is 2.77%, 1.74% and 0.66% for lead, tin and silver, respectively.The melting point of the slag is 1212℃,conductivity is 0.0345Ω-1.cm-1 and the viscosity is 3.579 Pa.s at 1300℃.This process has been adopted by a domestic scrap copper smelting enterprises and it is in the industrial design stage. In this paper, the study lays a solide foundation for the development for the treatment process of copper anode slime and which is contribute to the comprehensive utilization of nonferrous metal resources.
