Green manufacturing and energy-saving technology has become one of the key issues of the manufacturing industry. The manufacturing of huge amount of steel parts in complex steel structure constraints its efficiency. And as the most common and critical technology of the manufacturing, the research of two-dimensional nesting technology has great practical value and economic value, and it has been becoming the important research focus in academia and industry. This paper has studied the research of nesting technology and proposed a two-dimensional spherical cutting torch clamping mechanism which can improve the large-steel cutting machine. The main work is:This paper designs the frames of the nesting software system and the nesting algorithm, and deals with the details on the nesting problem. The paper firstly identifies four big modules of the system, and analyzes the data structure of the parts and overlapping parts. According to the parts of the characteristics of the nesting problem, the paper designs the initial nesting scheme, and optimizes the parts sorting method, lastly compares two results.This paper designs the cutting path algorithm. The paper analyses the cutting path optimization problem, and chooses feature points which are easy to set lead line, and transforms the cutting path problem into travelling salesman problem, uses the greedy genetic algorithm to optimize the result at last.This paper designs a five DOF plasma cutting robot cutting scheme, and calculates the cutting process of mathematical model based on the three DOF flat-cutting schemes. This paper innovatively designs two-dimensional spherical cutting torch clamping mechanism which can avoid the collision due to the height of work piece, and discusses the detail design. This paper introduced the steel plate cutting software.Based on work above, this paper developed the visual man-machine interface based on AutoCAD 2004, summarizes the advantages and disadvantages of the whole system, and makes a prospect for the future.
