Due to the special working conditions and explosion-proof signal acquisition instrument and other reasons, so far, shearer vibration fault diagnosis basically still stays in the laboratory simulation and ground test stage. In the thesis the gear transmission of shearer(MG200/500-WD type) cutting unit is taken as research subjects, the vibration signal which is taken by safe type vibration measurement instrument is used to detect and diagnose shearer fault. The study found that common analysis methods can identify obvious fault features of shearer cutting unit,but the weak features coult not be diagnosed effectively. In this thesis, the method of EMD and enery operator demodulation is used to diagnose the fault of shear cutting unit, solve the problems that common analysis methods is difficult to extract weak gear fault characteristics of coal winning machine cutting part, and further proof that vibration signal under cutting coal condition is more easier than under idling condition to extract weak fault feature.In the thesis, several common failure forms of gear and the cause of the failure are sketched, gear fault vibration signal characteristics are analyzed. The thesis introduces structure and main technical parameters of the shear, studies the characteristics of the cutting unit gear transmission system, designs vibration signal test scheme. The vibration signals of the different points are analyzed by the time domain waveform analysis, statistical parameter analysis and frequency domain analysis under two kinds of working conditions, to study the vibration characteristics of shearer cutting part. Using amplitude spectrum and cepstrum method to analyze vibration signal of coal winning machine cutting part measuring points under different working conditions to extract the fault feature information successfully.The thesis studies the EMD decomposition and energy operator demodulation principle, and use this method to extract the weak fault feature information successfully, achieved the purpose of fault diagnosis,...
