The topic is "985 Project" Steelmaking-refining-continuous casting process control system integration and process optimization experiments integrated research platform in the sub-topics. The experimental Platform using a computer system of the virtual reality simulation with a combination of physical simulation system simulation environment to the field data-driven, interactive form of information through the network to communicate with the control simulation and virtual scenes to achieve the actual control of the production process simulation. The experimental platform is indispensable of linking the theories and practice. It can simulate the part of Steelmaking-refining-continuous casting process. It contribute to the base of the optimal control of steelmaking and continuous casting and scheduling.The paper includes the following contents:The paper complete the design of the control system of the physical equipment and the communication between the virtual reality and PLC. In the control system S7-400 PLC was used as controller,using a computer with WNCC to contribute the supervise system. The industrial Ethernet was used to link the compute and PLCs. Socket and OPC communication interface was used in the communication between the virtual reality and PLC, it guarantee the synchronization of the physical equipment and the virtual reality.Based on the experimental Platform, the scheduling problem of the steelmaking and continuous casting was abstract as 3 stages hybrid flow shop scheduling problem, a 0-1 mixed linear programming model was developed and solved by a combined genetic algorithm and linear programming approach. The model can satisfy the temperature requirement by optimizing the transport and wait time, coordinate the continuous casting and hot rolling production by minimizing the weighted sum of deviation penalties of the cast starting time. Binary code was used to indicate charge assignment and processing sequence. Backward scheduling was used to attain the scheduling plan.The virtualization of the result of the scheduling was designed. According to the requirement of the scheduling system, Human-computer interaction based on the Gantt chart was developed. The ADO technology was used to get and alter the data in the database; According to the collision which may exist in the scheduling, the feasibility of the scheduling was developed. At last the overall procedure to achieve a practical scheduling was given by using the Human-computer interaction and feasibility detecting function.
