Halftone information hiding is an important technology in the field of anti-counterfeiting printing, and it has been widely concerned. However, under non-ideal conditions, while the halftone printed image is scanned, it is prone to skew or position offset. Out of sync with the original image will cause the embedded anti-counterfeiting information can not be extracted. In this paper, the synchronization algorithm for halftone information hiding is researched, and a synchronous information detection algorithm based on clustering analysis is proposed. The main contents of this paper are in the following:Firstly, the research background is introduced, the current situation of halftone information hiding technology and the basic principles of halftone screening technology are described, and the problems of information extraction are analysed.Secondly, the existing image detection algorithms are analysised. Aiming at the synchronous problems in the detection of printing image, a synchronous positioning method is proposed using round dots, which are detected based on cluster analysis. The image is corrected using the detected synchronization information that the anti-counterfeiting information can be extracted effectively.Finally, Algorithm testing and performance evaluation are carried out for halftone image skew and fouling conditions on the MATLAB platform. The experimental results show that the algorithm can extract the synchronization information in halftone image to correct the image, and extract the hidden anti-counterfeiting information effectively.This algorithm has good practical value, and it can be widely used in the fields of anti-counterfeiting printing and copyright authentication.
