The Yan 9 Reservoir in Well Yang-19 area was exploited by means of water injection since September 2009. The uncertainty of initial technical strategy depends on the low pressure level. On the basis of the study of law in terms of geology and seepage, using results from numerical simulation and reservoir performance, subsequent evaluation of initial technical strategy in this area was done, accordingly. In addition, it also took into account in this paper the technical strategy for current reservoir exploitation and proposal of effective degree and natural depletion in order to keep the long-term efficient development of the reservoir.According to static and dynamic data, well-test and numerical simulation results,development characteristics, laws and features of seepage permeability, proper technical strategy, means to improve water drive reserves, Reservoir development adjustment scheme are all involved. Macro- and micro-characteristics of reservoir were both studied based on various analyses data, as well as data of lithology, electrical property, physical property and oilness. Seepage features, characteristics and laws of development were both involved through field data to evaluate water drive condition. Proper technical strategy for a variety of reservoir was further drafted according to evaluation of previous development by means of reservoir engineering. Laws of decline and water-cut increasing in different stages were predicted on the basis of reservoir engineering and numerical simulation. Still, several proposals, numerical simulation were drafted so as to ensure ultimate proposals and each index suitable to current development stage.Through the research of stable production skills of oilfield, relevant proposals were drafted. Performance of water drive, water cut increasing and period of mid- and low-water cut development can be optimized.
