The landslide is the main geological disaster in China. The occurrence of the landslide is a serious hazard to people’s life and property safety. With the continuous exploitation of coal resources, many huge open-pit mine slopes are produced, and the rainfall will affect the stability of the slope. According to statistics, landslides and rainfall have a close relationship, a large number of landslides occurred during or after the rain, According to statistics, 90% of landslides and rainfall have a close relationship, a large number of landslides occurred during or after the rain. Therefore, it is very important to study the change of the seepage field and stress field caused by the rainfall infiltration. The development of computer technology and finite element theory provides a guarantee for the analysis of slope stability under complex conditions. This paper through the finite element software Midas/GTS to research the open-pit mine slope of Pingshuo under rainfall condition. By simulating the actual open pit slope, the variation of the seepage field in the soil under different rainfall conditions is analyzed, and combining with the saturated-unsaturated seepage theory. The research method of this thesis is feasible and correct. In this paper, the main research contents are as follows:(1) The research object of this paper is open-pit mine slope of Pingshuo, According to the engineering geological data of the slope and the hydrological conditions of the mine, the unsafe factors of the slope are discussed. Summarized from two aspects of internal and external factors affect the slope stability of open pit mines, in order to further lay the foundation for analysis of slope stability(2) On the basis of traditional slope stability theory, combined with the method of numerical calculation, preliminary analysis stability of the slope. Through laboratory experiments, the physical and mechanical parameters of the soil are determined, and using Slide software to establish the two dimensional slope model. Based on Bishop method and Morgen-price method, calculated the safety factor of slope engineering under natural conditions.(3) Introduction the theory of seepage flow, the differential equation and its definite condition of the saturated-unsaturated seepage theory. A brief introduction to the soil-water characteristic curve and the permeability function. Through Galerkin finite element method to calculate the saturated-unsaturated seepage field in the condition of rainfall infiltration.(4) Combined with the structural characteristics and mechanical properties of the soil,to simulate the open-pit mine slope under different rainfall conditions by the finite element software. In this paper, the stability of the slope is analyzed by the different rainfall patterns and the pore water pressure. Drawing the curves of the relationship of saturated permeability coefficient and safety factor with infiltration depth. Quantitative study the stability and safety factor of slope under the influence of parameter.
