Ecological environment is the basis for social development and economic progress, which not only provides protection for the survival of mankind, but also provides all the necessary resources for the development of human society. Zhejiang Economic Belt located in the middle of Zhejiang Province, is in a stage of rapid economic development and land use dramatic changes. As response of human economic and social activities, Zhejiang Economic Belt ecological environment has undergone significant change. In this study, using remote sensing information technology and distribution of thematic layers ecosystem types in 2000,2010 and 2014,combined with the terrain, soil, weather and other data to dynamic monitoring and research ecosystem structure and function of a long sequence of service. The research results for the Zhejiang Economic Belt’s economic, social and environmental coordination and providing scientific basis for decision making for sustainable development. The conclusions are mainly the following aspects:First, in 2014, Zhejiang Economic Belt ecosystems included forests, farmland, cities and towns, wetlands, shrubs, lawn, bare land seven types, which spatial distribution followed the pattern of forests-farmland-cities and towns. The proportions of each type of ecosystem presented some changes.Second, from 2000 to 2014, changes in the distribution of Zhejiang Economic Belt mainly for urban ecosystem dilated, a significant increased in the area of each massive urban ecosystem, urban ecosystems significantly increased the number of small plaques, invaded surrounding other ecosystems. The proportions of ecological changes in the system mainly for ecosystem area continued increasing of forest and urban area and continued decline of farmland, wetlands, grasslands, shrubs and bare land.Third, during fourteen years, Zhejiang Economic forest ecosystems by the low level of human disturbance, fragmentation followed decreasing trend, patch shape tended to simplification and regularization. Farmland and towns intensed disturbance by human activities. The degree of fragmentation reduced during the first decade and increased after four years. Farmland patch followed the rules, simplification trends, urban patch shape tended to irregular and complicated.Fourth, carbon stock is mainly of high-grade and low-grade. Carbon stocks was steady and going up during fourteen years, and after four years the growth rate was greater than the previous decade, carbon sequestration function changed for the better. Biological habitat quality is mainly of high-grade and low-grade, grade constituent ratio show that bipolar accounting was higher than intermediate accounting. Biological habitat quality was steady and going up during fourteen years, improvement area was larger than the degradation area, the functions of biological diversity changed for the better. Soil conservation index was mainly of low-grade and lower-grade, which spatial distribution followed the pattern of medium-lower-low, improvement area was larger than the degradation area, the functions of soil conservation changed for the better. Water production was mainly of higher-grade and middling grade, fourteen -year period due to the rapid increase in the urban area, the proportion of impervious area increased, and regional water supply function has greatly improved.
