Heat setting is one of the most important process during the textile printing and dyeing produce, which makes textile obtain stable structure and performance. In the process of heat setting, keeping the temperature uniformity within the scope of width of textile depends on energy consumption of unit textile during the heat setting process and dry uniformity of the whole textile after the heat setting process. Printing and dyeing heat setting machine is an important equipment in the process of the printing and dyeing, air duct structure in the drying room of which decides the temperature uniformity in the limit of the width. But temperature uniformity in the scope of width is decided by the gas flow of every nozzle. So keeping gas flow uniformity of drying every part textile is a precondition of dry uniformity in the scope of width.At present, during the process of the air duct design, in domestic, most manufacture of the printing and dyeing heat setting machine depend on the designer’s own experience, which lack structural analysis.Therefore the textile is dry and heterogeneous during the process of the heat setting, which makes the textile moldy. It is very important that the air duct’s performance of printing and dyeing heat setting machine is analyzed and the air duct’s structure of printing and dyeing heat setting machine is optimized. It could promote productions’ quality and bring more economic interest for enterprises.The existing air duct in the dry room of printing and dyeing heat setting machine is deeply researched by modeling simulation and experimental study in this thesis. The affection of the air duct each structure to the performance of air duct is simulated analysis. Then basing on the analysis results, air duct structure is optimal designed. The points and conclusions of this thesis as follow:1) It introduces the working principle of the printing and dyeing heat setting machine and analyzes performance requirements for air duct combined with gas dynamics and heat transfer.The conclusion that temperature uniformity within the scope of width of textile depends on gas flow uniformity of every nozzle is drawn. So it is very important to analyze the effect of air duct each structure on the performance of the air duct.2) It builds three-dimensional model of air duct with rectangle nozzle. The effect of air duct each structure on the performance of air duct is analyzed by using the flow simulation. The conclusion that the inclination angle of the air duct and the bottom angle of the air duct and the height of baffle plate in nozzle have a little affect on the gas flow uniformity is drawn, but the height of baffle plate in nozzle have a great affection on direction of gas flow. Then aiming at stripe light spot in the heat setting process of the textile, the layout of rectangle nozzle is optimal designed.3) It builds three-dimensional model of air duct with rectangle nozzle. The effect of air duct each structure on the performance of air duct is analyzed by using flow simulation. The conclusion that the inclination angle of the air duct have a little affect on the gas flow uniformity is drawn, but it have a great effect on the gas flow. Then aiming at inclined gas direction of round nozzle and stripe light spot, the air duct structure the layout of rectangle nozzle are optimal designed.4) The results of the experimental measurement and the simulation analysis results of two kinds of air duct is compared, it concluded that calculation model is reliable and we can use this model to have a further simulation analysis for air duct.
