In current society, as the environmental pollution problem more and more serious, photocatalytic materials get the attention of the researchers more and more, bismuth tungstate as a kind of commonly used light catalysis of rare earth nanomaterials, it becoming a hot spot of research. In this paper, Yb3+,Tm3+ were synthesized by hydrothermal process with Na2WO4·2H2O Bi(NO)3·5H2O as raw materials and polyethylene glycol (PEG6000) as dispersant. The silver nanoparticles have been prepared by Using acetaldehyde to reducing the tollens1 reagent, which are attached on Bi2WO6 nanocrystals.the samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction and SEM,which were compared with Bi2WO6 without Ag.Analyzing the physical property of Bi2WO6 with XRD,SEM. The experimental results are as follows:1.The Bi2WO6 nanocrystal co-doped with the Yb3+ and Tm3+ ions were prepared by hydrothermal method, which Belongs to orthorhombic crystal system with diameter of 60nm by SEM.The results indicate visible emissions at 483nm were observed.when the concentration of Tm3+arrived at 1mol% and the ratio of Yb:Tm is 6:1 and temperature is 180℃, Ph is 10, the luminescent intensity was maximum.2. The silver nanoparticles have been prepared by Using acetaldehyde to reducing the tolleas’ reagent, which are attached on Bi2WO6 nanoorystals by Chemical reduction method. The diameter of Bi2WO6:Yb3+,Tm3+@Ag is about 60nm by SEM. when the concentration of Ag arrived at 1mol%, the luminescent intensity of the four emission peaks of Bi2WO6 were maximum.3. The silver nanoparticles is deposited on the surface of Bi2WO6:Yb3+,Tm3+ and by the degradation of methylthionine chloride can be seen after 2.5h UV light irradiation, into the Bi2WO6:Yb3+,Tm3+ samples of than the rate of degradation of methylene blue in the cuvette is about 71%, into the Bi2WO6:Yb3+,Tm3+@Ag samples of the 85%In summary, rare earth doped ytterbium and thulium. To enhance the up conversion luminescence of bismuth, and the loading of silver particles on the surface of bismuth bismuth can enhance the photocatalytic efficiency of bismuth.
