In recent years, the continuous development of society and economy, and constantly explore human nature, The global scope is faced with the problems of the ecological environment. Grassland degradation, forest cover reduction, land desertification, soil erosion and soil erosion are increasing day by day, All these problems seriously affect the quality of people’s living environment and the ecological environment. The Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, as the most important ecological protection barrier in the north of China, the geographical location is very unique, and the ecological situation is very fragile. To alleviate the increasingly serious ecological problems in the region, At the end of twentieth Century, the forestry ecological engineering construction was fully carried out in our country, In the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region has the "Three North" protection forest, natural forest protection project, returning farmland to forest engineering, Beijing Tianjin sandstorm source control, such as a number of key forestry ecological engineering. At present, the evaluation of the ecological environment in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region is mostly limited to the quality evaluation, and for ecological engineering construction, the analysis and evaluation of the ecological environment improvement effect is less.In order to improve the accuracy of the degree of quantitative analysis, In this paper, the construction of forestry ecological engineering as the background, Analysis on the improvement of 2000-2010 of the eleven years of forestry ecological engineering construction of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region ecological problems, and the improvement of the ecological environment in 12 cities. This article mainly uses the MODIS image data, using GIS and RS technology, the analysis and processing of remote sensing data, extraction of vegetation coverage in the study area at the same time, according to monitoring data (meteorological data, forestry ecological engineering construction data, forest resources data) and Statistics (social economic data), soil erosion data etc. Based on the construction of the comprehensive evaluation system, the weight of the index is calculated by the entropy weight method, and based on the two dimensional grey relational model, the comprehensive evaluation of the ecological environment status of the 12 League cities after the construction of the key forest ecological project was completed, And based on the three-dimensional grey relational model, the comprehensive evaluation of the ecological status of the 12 leagues in 10 years was carried out. The main conclusions of this paper are as follows:(1) The construction of forestry ecological project has a certain improvement on the ecological environment of Inner Mongolia, In particular:the increase of vegetation coverage, the decrease of land desertification area and the decrease of soil erosion area.(2) From the Distribution, The extent of ecological improvement largest western Inner Mongolia region, the area is (Grass), regional, Three-North Shelterbelt construction and other key projects focus on the implementation of the most obvious effect of improving the ecological situation. Another obvious area to improve the ecological situation in the eastern Inner Mongolia, mainly depends on the implementation of large areas of natural forest protection project efficiency significantly(3) Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region 11 years to 12 Union City ecological environment condition of optimal is the Hulunbuir, followed by Chifeng City, the worst areas is Alashan League.
