3004 aluminum alloy is the largest single sheet aluminum alloy production at present. As the representative of rustproof 3xxx aluminum alloys,3004 aluminum alloy has medium strength, good deep drawing formability property, corrosion resistance, etc. Its plate, strip and foil are mainly used as decorative material, and also used in packaging, electronics, construction, weapons, aviation, aerospace and many other areas. In recent years, with the market competition increasingly intensifying, it’s particularly important for factories to develop the best production process to optimize the mechanical properties of aluminum alloys and reduce production costs, which aims to meet the different needs of 3004 aluminum plate.In this paper, the 2mm thickness and 73%reduction rate cold-rolled 3004 aluminum alloy sheets, which are produced by an aluminum plant in Inner Mongolia, are used as the test materials. Using hardness test, metallographic test, tension test to study the influence of different annealing process for Vickers hardness, microstructure, tensile strength, yield strength, elongation rear impact of 3004 aluminum alloy sheet.By studying the Law of Vickers hardness, we found that the aluminum plate crystallization temperature was 280 ℃, when the samples were obtained in 3 hours constant annealing process. At 300℃,325℃,350℃ temperature annealing, the crystallization time are 24 min,21 min,7 min, respectively. During the initial incubation of a constant temperature, the hardness value presented "linear" decrease way, then holding time extended, the hardness of the sample was approximately stable at 50 Hv. However, during 350℃ isothermal annealing process, the recrystallization of cold-rolled aluminum sheet hardly requires incubation period.Study on the deep drawability of aluminum sheets after annealing at different temperatures shows that as annealing temperature increases from 250 ℃ to 300 ℃ and 350℃, the tensile strength and yield strength decrease, and the 45。 rolling direction shows better plasticity than 0。 and 90。. Only when the annealing temperature increases to 350℃, the tensile strength, yield strength and percentage elongation after facture of the 3004 aluminum alloy sheet meet the GB/T3880.2-2006, and also shows the minimum anisotropy.The study on the deep drawability of aluminum sheets after annealing at different holding time, O.5h, 1h,2h,3h,4h, shows that as annealing holding time increases, the tensile strength and yield strength decrease, and also the 45℃ rolling direction shows better plasticity than 0。nd 90。. Only when the annealing holding time increase to 4h, the tensile strength, yield strength and percentage elongation after facture of the 3004 aluminum alloy sheet meet the GB/T3880.2-2006, and also shows the minimum anisotropy. However the 3004 aluminum alloy sheet shows better minimum anisotropy and deep drawability in 350℃x3h annealing condition. Therefore, the annealing temperature is the decisive factor in aluminum’s mechanical properties.
