Electromagnetic induction heating is gradually replacing the traditional resistance heating in the heating cylinder of the injection molding machine, because of its heating speed and high energy efficiency. When it brings some convenience, it also caused some problems, such as slowly cooling speed and the large thermal inertia, with the results of refueling is not timely in the production process and long temperature adjustment time. So, the electromagnetic induction heating device with water cooled type for injection machine is appeared in 2013, in order to solving the above problems. But its research about heating is still in the exploratory stage, and there is a lack of deep research and analysis on the electromagnetic induction heating principle for this mechanism. In this paper, impact about the effects of water cooling system to heating and cooling processes of electromagnetic induction heating system using for injection molding machine barrel is discussed by electromagnetic and temperature fields analysis and experimental research.At first, this article designs the overall scheme about induction heating device with Water cooled system for injection molding machine, according to the functional requirements of induction heating with water-cooled system for injection. Then, several designs of cooling device are compared to elect the most appropriate solution. Pointing at the finally result, the cooling device structure has been redesigned and subsequent experiments proved the feasibility of electromagnetic induction heating device with water-cooled system for injection molding machine.Second, on the basis of structure scheme of electromagnetic induction heating device with the water cooling system for injection machine, its physical model is established through the reasonable hypothesis of the cooling device, and the mathematical model and the corresponding finite element model are also established based on basic electromagnetic and thermodynamic equations. Then, the magnetic field and temperature field of the electromagnetic induction heating tube with the water cooled system for injection machine is analyzed and solved by using the multi physical field coupling function of ANSYS.Finally, from the experimental purpose of the electromagnetic induction heating with the water cooling system for injection machine, appropriate scheme and the hardware is selected. Then, the electromagnetic induction heating experimental platform with water-cooled system for injector induction is established by using the water-cooling device and other experimental equipment, which we have designed. This article also designs the experiment to test the feasibility of this water cooling device and the correctness of simulation results and the effect of different cooling water flow velocity on the cooling effect of the cylinder. The results shows that the water cooling system is feasible in the electromagnetic induction heating system of the injection molding machine, and the results of the finite element simulation analysis are reliable. At the same time, the greater the cooling water flow rate is, the more obvious the cooling effect is. In summary, this article lays the foundation for the establishment of electromagnetic induction heating control model and the control algorithm of water cooled electromagnetic induction heating system for injection molding machine.
