Biowin software was used to simulate and optimize seventh Kunming wasterwater treatment plant with A2O process, research works involved the characterization of influent and effluent, process configuration set up, calibration of simulation model parameter, model validation and process optimization.After the sewage characteristic determination of component analysis of influent components are as follows:CODtot=334.88mg/L, S1=12.92mg/L, Ss=94.85mg/L, Xs= 168.80mg/L, Xi=58.31mg/LConvert into Biowin simulation software component required:Fbs=0.28, Fus=0.04, Fup=0.18.The static simulation is using the default value,and the simulation results are not good.By the sensitivity coefficient analysis identified:six model parameters influence the flow.Then, using the four influent quality and operational data in 2014 as the calibration data.The six parameters model are adjusted:the maximum growth rate of ammonia oxidizing bacteria,the decay rate of aerobic ammonia oxidizing bacteria,the maximum growth rate of ordinary heterotrophic bacteria,the half saturation coefficient matrix of ordinary heterotrophic bacteria,the yield coefficient of ordinary heterotrophic bacteria (aerobic),the yield coefficient of ordinary heterotrophic bacteria (hypoxia). The model parameters were corrected to simulate the onsite effluent quality as precisely as possible.validating the dynamic simulation by February,relative error of the indexes of the effluent (COD, BOD, TN, NH3-N, TP, SS) is within 5%,and it fits well with the measured values. The simulation results better reflect the actual situation of water.Optimize process parameters to meet effluent discharge standards,and its goal is to achieve the lowest energy consumption and operation cost.The different influence factors are studying to investigate the effect of nitrogen and phosphorus removal in A2O process.The results shows:when the dissolved oxygen is 2mg/L, the internal reflux ratio is 200%, the reflux ratio is 90%, the sludge age is 27d, under normal temperature each effluent index (COD, BOD, TN, NH3-N, TP, SS) can meet the first level A standard, and achieve the lowest energy consumption.
