Grinding operation is a very important link in the process of mineral separation and the product quality of ore grinding directly affects the indicator of subsequent operation so that the product of mineral separation will be greatly affected. The grinding process is very complex because of the fact that ore grinding system is characterized by too many disturbance factors, long grinding process, large time lag and nonlinearity and that the grinding process itself is also a time-varying system. Research on ore grinding process, control the ore grinding process by means of intelligent control technique technology to control the grinding process, ensure the quality of ore grinding and improve ore grinding efficiency to increase the economic benefit.With the control system for ore grinding of ball mill as the research object, this article by means of automatic control technology, computer technology and the combination of communication and testing technology conducts research and design on the control system of ore grinding for ball mill, based on the current domestic ore grinding control system technology and some issues thereof. Put forward new control strategy by combining modern intelligent control theory, judge the load condition by using the detecting sound signal technology and control the ball mill load by adopting the fuzzy-PID control scheme to effectively guarantee the stable operation of ball mill; Ore grinding has quality requirements on the products so the fuzzy-PID control scheme needs to be adopted to control the granularity of the ore grinding products and make it meet the requirements of the work at the next stage. Ball mill control system includes its revolving control and monitoring. Adopting controller to control the ball mill and the related auxiliary equipment and the upper computer conducts real-time monitoring on the relevant parameters in the process of ore grinding. Choose rational communication protocol to realize the connection of upper computer and controller and construct the control system of ball mill.Combine with the study of feeding control algorithm of ball mill to design the hardware and software of the control system for ore grinding. The hardware design mainly includes the controller and upper computer and the choice of detecting instrument and control equipment. Complete the software design of the control system of ore grinding according to the technological requirements, including the operation of ball mill and the corresponding auxiliary equipment, controlling of feeding equipment, the quality of ore grinding, detecting system interface configuration and the communication between upper computer and controller, etc.Complete the design of the control system for ball mill in the end based on the research of the ball mill control system which can provide certain guidance basis for the design of the control system of ore grinding in the actual beneficiation work.
