The main work of this thesis is to synthesize a series of triazole compounds with definite structures and these compounds as ligands with the metal complexes have been obtained. The crystals of some triazole compounds and some complexes are determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction. Moreover, the molecular conformation, molecule stacking and intermolecular interactions were studied on the solid state. Fluorescence and magnetic properties of some complexes were investigated in detail for seeking the excellent performance of optical or magnetic materials. The main contents are as follows:1. Four 1,2,4-triazole compounds were designed and synthesized. Among those ligands, three single crystals were obtained by slow evaporation and the crystal structures were determined by X-ray single crystal diffraction. The molecular conformation, molecule stacking and intermolecular interactions were studied in detail.2. With the schiff base-triazole compounds as ligands, two powders complexes have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, IR and powder diffractometer. Compared with the powder diffraction pattern of ferrous-4H-1,2,4-triazole, we can infer the two coordination polymers have been synthesized with one-dimendional chain structure. The magnetic properties of coordination polymers were studied and found the two coordination polymers showed spin crossover properties and the transition temperature was in the low temperature range.3. With the benzoic acid-triazole as ligands, four complexes have been synthesized. These ligands self-assembled with different transition metals through the coordination and the intermolecular hydrogen-bonding interactions. The structure features of the complexes were discussed and found that the layered structures of all complexes were formed by hydrogen bonding between coordination water and other atoms.4. With the benzoic acid-triazole as ligands, four complexes have been synthesized. These ligands self-assembled with different lanthanide metals through the coordination and the intermolecular hydrogen-bonding interactions. The structure features of the complexes were discussed and the solid-state fluorescence property of some complex was investigated.5. With the pyridine derivatives as ligands, two complexes have been synthesized. These ligands self-assembled with different transition metals through the coordination and the intermolecular hydrogen-bonding interactions. The structure features of the complexes were discussed and the magnetic properties of these complexes were studied.
