As a kind of natural cellulose fiber,cotton fiber have wonderful affinity to human skin,which have obtained the widespread favour.But it also provides a perfect living environment to bacteria and fungi for its highly hygroscopicity,lots of grooved surface and micropore structure,which greatly affect the health of users,make it especially important that long-acting antibacterial finishing of the cotton fiber.Cotton fabric will be endowed with excellent antibacterial properties if nano silver which have excellent antibacterial properties was finished tightly on the surface of cotton fiber.In this topic,modified amino-terminated hyperbranched polymer(MHBP-OH) with core-shell structures was prepared by grafting line polymers on the amino-terminated hyperbranched polymer(HBP-NH2) and polyethylene glycol methacrylate(PEGM) by Michael addition reaction The MHBP-OH was applied to prepare nano-silver in aqueous solution.The generated silver nanoparticles were characterized by Uv- vis,XRD,TEM and nano sizer,we found out the best proportion of raw material of preparation of silver nanoparticles.and the antibacterial properties of silver nanoparticles was evaluated. average grain diameter of nano-silver generated in aqueous solution was 3.82 nm with excellent stability and uniformity.MHBP-OH were grafted on the surface of cotton successfully by the combine between the residual terminal amino of MHBP-OH and the aldehyde group on the specific place of oxidized cotton by the formation of Schiff base covalent bond.The silver nanoparticles were prepared on the surface of the cotton fiber which grafted MHBP-OH the corresponding analysis of performance were given on the treated cotton fabric by EDS,XPS,SEM,ICP-AES and color measurement instrument,we figured out the the best technology of nano silver finishing cotton fiber,The nano-silvers generated in cotton fibers well distributed and the size of them was about 10 nm.The cotton was tested about its antibacterial property and washing resistance. When the silver content of treated cotton fabric was 146.26 mg/kg,the bacterial reduction rates against S.aureus and E.coli were 99.76 % and 99.62 % respectively with remarkable washing resistance.The menchanical properties of grafted cotton fabric and the air permeability slightly lower,Water absorption performance increased a little.The comparative ana lysis were taken among of MHBP-OH,raw material HBP-NH2,linear amine compounds under the same conditions.
