Natural diamond has the characteristics of high hardness, good wear resistance and low friction factor, the material of current raster scoring tool is natural diamond,however, natural diamond has the characteristics that it is crisp, easy to crack, easy to cause thermo-chemical wear at a high temperatureand special physicaldiffusion wear, which bring some difficultiesfor precision grindingof diamond tools. The tool grinding process experience shows that in the process of grating scribing tool sharpening, grinding machines and tool sharpening exhibits many characteristics associated with tools, such as the abrasive mutual pressure between the disc and the vibration of the arm, the grinding sound field, generated by friction between temperature, etc.,especially the vibration of grinding tool, which can produce excess relative movement between the tool and grinding discs,this relative movement could diminish the sharpen and the surfaceof the tool.In this paper, with the tool sharpening equipment for Grating Ruling experimental platform and the raster scribing tool sharpening process as the research object,the tool vibration signals are chosen as the characteristic signal of the grinding process fault diagnosis, which uses wavelet packet and signal processing methods to extract the tool sharpening state. It can represent the characteristic value information from the vibration signal with the noise and the operating state identification tool sharpening process, and then proposing a method for vibration control, vibration tool sharpening to achieve automatic control provides a theoretical basis.First, it is proposed to use the tool to characterize the vibration signal as the sharpening process fault diagnosis characteristic signal. It was sharpening fast Fourier transform normal and fault vibration signal spectrum analysis, initially identified the characteristics of tool sharpening process vibration signal band,db9 wavelet function using for grinding normal and fault vibration signal,then three wavelet packet were decomposed into energy spectrum and power spectrum analysis. Then the grinding process tool vibration signal characteristic frequency is determined, and extract can characterize sharpening vibration characteristic value information;Then based on the analysis tool sharpening process vibration generating mechanism of the proposed size of the load is applied through the online tool to adjust the disc to reduce the vibration of the tool grinding process, the methodimproves the quality of tool sharpening;Followed by many process parameters and interference against the sharpening process, and tool sharpening process parameter control features require a higher proposed to use a cascade control method, the inner loop PID control algorithm is to control the size of the tool to the grinding disc load is applied, which can eliminate the influence of interference on tool vibration signalin advance,the feasibility of the outer ring automatic search optimization algorithm can reduce tool vibration in the grinding process, verified by simulation control method;Finally, the hardware and software design of structures is completed, it provides a kind of tool sharpening vibration monitoring and analysis software platform.
