With the worldwide energy crisis worsens, green manufacturing has attracted wide attention. Since the advent of free forging hydraulic press, its technical and technological level has developed rapidly, and now it is already one of the essential industrial production equipment. Hydraulic press work most of his time in typical working condition-ordinary forging and the installed power of hydraulic transmission system of it is up to thousands of kilowatts, so its energy consumption is considerable. Therefore, the research on ordinary forging control process, saving energy control strategy, has important practical significance to improve the energy efficiency of the press.Based on 20 MN electro-hydraulic proportional valve control free forging hydraulic press, this paper studies the operating handle control mode and the system control process, considering the operation of the operator to control of the press, and the impact of energy consumption, then hydraulic energy consumption calculation model of the electro-hydraulic proportional control system and hydraulic system simulation model based on AMESim are established, and the parameters of the simulation model are set according to the experiment parameters of 20 MN fast forging hydraulic press. The influence of the different load and operating speed of operators on ordinary forging hydraulic system are studied with the simulation analysis to find out the factors that influence efficiency of energy transfer system.Proposed based on load sensing pump inlet pressure and velocity of the composite fuzzy predictive control strategy. By adding pump load sensitive control, the pump inlet pressure of press is matched with load. And on this basis, to save energy and reduce consumption in the greatest degree and improve the utilization ratio of energy system, using fuzzy predictive control, the speed of press is pre-sentenceed, and then the number of working pump of press is controlled to match the required flow of system. Finally, simulation analysis of the composite control strategy is carried out with the AMESim and MATLAB joint simulation model.Finally, the experiment is conducted under ordinary forging condition with 0.6 MN free forging hydraulic press. Limited by the experimental conditions, we only validate the effect of the pump inlet load sensitive control. The energy-saving effect of the optimized system is analyzed with meeting the request of ordinary forging. Compared to normal ordinary forging hydraulic system, the system energy utilization increased from 5.2% to 9% with the pump inlet load sensitive control under ordinary forging condition.
