Our country is mining giants, and mineral resource consumption is bigger, foreign demand is also high. As the global mineral resources prices continue to rise, the enterprise has increased the cost of production those who demanded for mineral resources. Now a serious lack of mineral resources, if we can make good use of the long-term accumulation of tailing in the mine production process, and recycling, it will largely alleviate the shortage of mine resources. Therefore, the mining of the mineral resources in the mine tailings is the efficient use of mineral resources, and it also is one of the important measures for mine resource sustainable development route.Tailings in the mine resources is lower grade, composition more complex ore deposit compared with the main mine, and also mixed with various kinds of unstable factors, such as mud, sand, and so on. So we should pay attention to production safety in the process of mining. Stoping with tailings, the heigh of the tailings dam will reduce gradually, the original steady state of the dam will be broken, causing a lot of potential safety hazard. Relying on the tailings of Jinju dressing plant in Chengde. We have the mining design, and carry on the stability analysis in the process of mining, the main contents are as follows:(1) Analysis the feasibility of tailings stoping and establishing mining methods. According to engineering geology, hydrogeological condition, the present situation of the tailings, and the accumulation of the tailings of Jinju dressing plant in Chengde, analyzing the mining condition, determing its feasibility, and establishing the mining methods of the tailings.(2)Analyzing the security and stability of tailings dam. In the process of mining, the dam height gradually reduced, Analysis and calculation the stability of the each layer dam. According to the geological conditions, simplifying the tailings dam, establishing the solid model of the tailings dam. Using the software of Beijing Lizheng on the crest elevation seepage calculation in the process of mining, combined with Swedish circle method having a stability analysis of dam crest elevation, to calculate the most dangerous slip surface and the factor of safety.(3) According to the base materials such as the geography, hydrology and meteorology of the area of Jinju dressing plant in Chengde, and combined with the design standards of the tailings, having a flood regulating calculation, verifying the discharge capacity of the drainage system.
