The concrete material is the largest amount of material used in the presentconstruction industry, how to implement energy saving, cost reducing and greeninitiative of the concrete to adapt to the development of present society is animportant direction of the present concrete industry research. Water reducing agentwork as a material that improves the performance of concrete, for use in concrete,the concrete ushers in a new revolution. The two kinds of water reducing agents usedin concrete are studied.By testing method, we studied the effects that naphthalene water reducer andpolycarboxylate-type water reducer have on the working performance of freshconcrete and hardened concrete strength under the circumstance of different dosages,different concrete decrement rates respectively, determine reasonable dosages andconcrete decrement rate, and on the working performance of concrete of differentstrength grades and hardened concrete strength in the condition of fixed dosage andfixed concrete decrement rate; By the testing result, analyze of the test results of twokinds of water reducing agents application in concrete technology and economicbenefits, environmental protect benefits.Test results show that: in the condition of the types of raw materials, waterreducer chosen staying the same,1. Considering the effect that naphthalene waterreducer and polycarboxylate-type water reducer have on the concrete workingperformance and compressive strength, the reasonable dosage of naphthalene waterreducer is1.8%, polycarboxylate-type water reducer is0.8%.2. In theguarantee that concrete overall performance is not lower than the original concretecomprehensive performance, when dosage of naphthalene water reducer is1.8%, wecan reduce the dosage of cement15%; When the polycarboxylate-type water reduceris0.8%, we can reduce the dosage of cement18%.3. The two kinds of waterreducing agents improve concrete performance and strength of different strengthgrades with respective reasonable mixture dosages and concrete decrement rates.4.Combining the effects that the two water reducing agents have on the overallperformance of concrete, naphthalene water reducer applies to concrete of lower strength grades(C30and below), polycarboxylate-type water reducer applies toconcrete of higher strength grades(Above C30).
