With the use of power electronic devices and nonlinear equipments, as well as thecontinuous improvement of users for the power quality,the reactive power compensationproblem of the power quality appears more and more important. Due to its superiorperformance,static var generator (referred to asSTATCOM,also known as SVG),an effectivedevice for dynamic reactive power compensation in power system,has become a researchfocus and an important development tendency of the reactive power compensation technology.This paper mainly studies the STATCOM system of three-phase voltage typestructure basedon DSP.Firstly, the principle of STATCOM were introduced, discussed the STATCOMmathematical models and time-domain characteristics,and draw state mathematical model,and then on the basis of the traditional reactive current detection method comparison studies,designed an improved non-phase-locked loop ip-iq detection method, and verify thefeasibility of the Matlab simulation experiments. Secondly,the common STATCOM controlmethods were introduced,the control method is given in this paper,then the relevantparameters decoupling control. For STATCOM dynamic modulation process researchreferences less the status quo,for ia>0,ib <0,ic>0case of PWM STATCOM dynamicmodulation process to do a detailed analysis of the circuit through the perspective elaborateddc capacitor charging discharge process,after the effect of the dead zone in-depth analysis,design a way to compensate for the dead zone. Finally,its modeling and simulation usingMatlab,simulation results show the feasibility of the design.Finally,build a three-phase STATCOM under low pressure conditions of the hardwarecircuit,the experimental results show that the STATCOM compensation effect is good,toverify the feasibility of theoretical analysis and design method.
