In recent years, with the rapid economic and social development of our country, a mass of control precision, automatic instrument equipment for high power quality equipment have been put into use in succession. The quality of the products for industrial users is closely related to the quality of electric energy, Power quality not only caused the Power generation, transmission, power supply enterprise attention, but also aroused extensive attention from all sectors of society enterprise etc.Domestic and foreign research found that power quality problems in addition to the traditional voltage, current, frequency, power and other factors, Also includes the harmonic, voltage fluctuation and flicker, continuity of power supply. Power system was the result of power quality problems, one of the most fundamental reason is that the reactive power imbalance, therefore, Therefore, in the power system, reactive power optimization performed is essential for improving power quality.The main achievements are obtained as follows:analyzes the principle of reactive power compensation and suppression measures, according to the characteristics of the east grid in Xiaoshan, build the capacity of reactive power, reactive power control, pass power factor, voltage indicators, such as reactive power regulation capability analysis indicators, analysis and evaluation the reactive power regulation in the east grid of xiaoshan, and as a basis, proposed five programs to adjust the inductive reactive, and comparative analysis of reactive power regulation, economic and social benefits,finaly,defines the best Reactive power optimization program of esat grid of xiaoshan.
