With people’s understanding of non-thermal plasma, the application of non-thermal plasma technology on combustion improvement and optimization has caused wide public concern. Dielectric barrier discharge, a way of gas discharge, can occur at atmospheric pressure. The rise of DBD plasma was in the field of aerospace dynamics, gradually applied to the broader field of combustion engine, etc. But it has been exploring all the time to know it. Therefore, this paper made the following tasks:Firstly, I designed and made the dielectric barrier discharge plasma generator, and build a complete system to detect the input and output variables. I can adjust the main parameters of DBD plasma generator to control the chemical reaction to the target direction, so as to find out the best balance point or the critical point of the reactor parameters. And this paper provided a practical scheme for designing and using dielectric barrier discharge plasma generator.Secondly, according to the experiment condition and purpose, I set up the experimental platform, including:the design and calculation of the micro gas turbine combustion chamber, and the reasonable layout for vary experimental devices such as making the dielectric barrier discharge plasma reactor parts embedded in the combustion system, making reasonable arrangements for the flue gas discharge lines, the pipelines, the ratio of gas and so on.Thirdly, by adjusting the different working conditions and using different means of detection, I diagnosed the methane combustion by using dielectric barrier discharge plasma generator from the multiple perspectives such as using Testo Pro350to analyze the component ratio of flue gas, using Nikon D7000to study the combustion status, and using OH_PLIF(planar laser induced fluorescence detection of OH based instrument) system to detect the content of OH in the flame and its relevant characteristics of the flame.Finally, based on the data and images under various conditions, I analyzed the improved effect for combustion by DBD plasma and drew the conclusion.
