Fault phase selector is a key part of transmission line protection. its electionrelatively quickly and accurately to ensure the safe and stable operation of thepower system has a positive meaning. With the rapid economic development, landresources are depleting, especially in the densely populated and economicallydeveloped areas more apparent. To save space, the power system has been widelyadopted as a double circuit line with the high-voltage transmission lines, withtowers four back line has also been widely used. Although multi-loop transmissionmode to save the land and improve reliability of power supply, but also to relayrelevant technology brings unexpected difficulties and challenges, domestic andforeign scholars have conducted extensive professional and in-depth research,presented a large number of fault phase selection principles and methods.This paper analyzes the results of the latest research on the type of faultvoltage level across multiple back line were summarized and categorized; followedby a ground fault features two voltage levels constitute the mixed pressure withfour-loop system tower detail analysis and research, the application of the sixdeduced sequence component method in double circuit lines; and analyzes theapplication of law in the modal component of double circuit line, an improvedcross-modal component method in line voltage level four back application, the useof improved modulus analysis and sequence component method based on sixdouble-circuit line voltage levels across four back on line for fault phase selectionstudies and the use of PSCAD built with four-pole circuit lines simulation modelcontaining two the voltage level of the four-wire system back a lot of simulationexperiments using MATLAB as an auxiliary tool, combined with the dataprocessing algorithms for fault simulation data processing, analysis and verify thefeasibility of the proposed method, the results show that the proposed phase Faultprogram can accurately achieve fault phase selection for future research to protectthe tower with four loops to provide a strong theoretical support.
