Previous accidents in power system showed that the occurrence and expansion of theaccident are closely related to the incorrect actions of relay protections. Owing to theenlargement of the scale of power grid and the increasing of the diversification of powergrid operation mode, optimization of protection relay setting coordination increasinglybecomes the key attention of the operators’ work. In the developing process of on-linerelay settings verification and early warning system for protective relay, designing andconstructing the integrated data platform which is the basis of power network parameterand graph-datum integration of heterogeneous information system is the foundation forgood visualization and maneuverability. On-Line monitoring of protection relay setting isan important part of it. Abovementioned three parts are of important significance to theresearch and development of on-line relay settings verification and early warning systemfor protective relay. So, this thesis has investigated three aspects in all: interfacetechnology about integration of heterogeneous information system and data publishing ofintegrated data platform, graphics fusion of heterogeneous information system, andon-line monitoring of protection relay setting.Methodology of integrating power automation systems based on WebServicetechnology is proposed in construction of the integrated data platform. This methodologyanalyzes the functional and data requirement of on-line relay settings verification systemand on-line monitoring of protection relay setting. Designing and implementing theinterface of multiple power automation system based on WebService make theintegration reach the goal of good extendibility. Finally, the integrated data platformprovides an interface to publish the data of on-line relay settings verification system andon-line monitoring system of protection relay setting and the interface can publishdifferent data to different department.A new method based on scalable vector graphics technology is proposed for the graphic modeling and fusion in on-line relay settings verification and early warningsystem for protective relay. This method exports primary electric wiring diagram inprotection relay setting coordination system with the format of scalable vector graphics,then reaches the goal of secondary multiplexing the graphics from fault informationsystem after the graphics being preprocessed. Finally, by the way of realizingintercommunication between of.net and JavaScript, the graphics in on-line relay settingsverification system can be dynamically refreshed.As the last key content of this thesis, a method for on-line monitoring of protectionrelay setting based on IEC61850modeling is proposed. It finishes the definition ofexchange file between fault information system and on-line monitoring system ofprotection relay setting by following the specification of IEC61850, improving thecommonality of the developed system. In order to obtain the relay setting to be checked,a feasible way is presented to parsing the relay post. Finally, a strategy for on-linemonitoring of protection relay setting is developed and the output way of the result ofon-line monitoring is summarized.
