With the rapid development of education cause, the increasing trend year by yearof building energy consumption is gradually caused widespread concern in recentyears. Based on survey data of111schools and using the method of statistical analysisand energy simulation, the characteristics of building energy consumption in primaryand secondary schools and kindergartens (PSK) were calculated and analyzed toevaluate the energy consumption baseline and find the energy-saving potential. Themain conclusions are as follows:Firstly, based on the statistical analysis of survey data, the characteristics ofaverage energy consumption level were concluded.Secondly, by using the statistical analysis software SPSS, building energyconsumption evaluation index of PSK is determined by correlation analysis. Energyconsumption per unit area is used as a main index, and energy consumption per capitais used as an auxiliary index.Thirdly, consulting to the setting method of building energy baseline at home andabroad, three baseline conditions were given, namely lower quartile, median and theaverage value of three years. The three baseline condition values were calculated, andthe median is recommended for the energy consumption baseline.Fourthly, take middle school for example, the prediction model were establishedby multiple linear regression analysis. According to the energy efficiency ratio, thebuilding energy benchmark evaluation method of PSK was given. Finally, the main influence factors of heating energy consumption which containheat source, control strategy, heating terminal equipment and structure of externalbuilding envelope were analyzed by using energy simulation software eQUEST. Bycomparing the simulation results, the influences of different factors on heating energyconsumption were determined. According to the simulation results, the correspondingenergy-saving measures for new and existing schools put forward.
