Energy is a growing concern of society. Biomass fuels as a new fuel, compared with traditionalfossil fuels which has the advantage of renewable.While speaking from the environmental aspects,biomass fuel combustion has lowl levels of NOxemissions, lower levels of pollutants such as SO2,and to achieve a zero CO2emissions, which effectively slows down the greenhouse effect andchanges the characteristics of the energy mix. The current research on biomass burning boiler isalso less. The paper is that some of the characteristics of biomass burning boilers were studied bynumerical simulation method and experiments,.In this paper, a existing biomass boiler was testing, based on reasonable assumptions, throughthe establishment of turbulence model, heat transfer model and particle tracking model, usingFLUENT software inside the boiler combustion characteristics were simulated. Effect on thesimulation results, the biomass boiler temperature and composition distribution were analyzed inthe furnace. The furnace temperature field slightly diamond, and there is a certain inclination belowthe discharge port. The primary air and secondary air, making the higher flue gas temperature at theoutlet, easy coke. The upper chamber is easy to burn out; flue gas near the exit, as close to the maincombustion zone. The temperature is higher, especially near the top of the exit. The temperatureeven higher than some areas inside the furnace, when the temperature is between1450k and1550k,numerical simulation results for a maximum temperature of1500k and relatively consistent testmeasured.This study analyzed the air of a company’s biomass pellet combustion characteristics,numerical simulation results agree well with the experimental data. the original boiler flue gasoutlet temperature is high, not conducive to full combustion and so on. Raising in the method of thetriangular arrangement of three wind at the flue gas outlet and methods of tangentially three air inthe middle of the boiler arrangement, to change the combustion flow field distribution and thedistribution of the main breakout area. Analyzing numerical simulation results, the both of modelimprove the contrast of the original model, which transform Tangentially model is more obvious,the flow distribution more reasonable for future similar biomass boiler renovation and operation toprovide a theoretical basis.
