In this paper, using two methods of thermal calculation and numerical simulation, taking BeiJiang power plant boiler for example, author analyzes the insufficient reheater steam temperature and the flow characteristics of furnace about 1000 MW ultra supercritical, single chamber double tangential boiler.In the case of burner upturned and superheater gas baffle turned down, reheater temperature of BeiJiang boiler is lower than rated parameter 16 ~ 29 ℃. In this paper, C# language is used to compile a thermodynamic calculation program. The calculation process of the boiler is determined. By check calculating, analyzing performance parameter of steam and gas, the cause is discovered that the lower temperature of furnace outlet and the insufficient heat transfer capacity of the final reheater. In order to improve the reheat steam temperature, the scheme is proposed that tube panels of final reheater should be extended. After transforming, the actual reheat steam temperature can reach the rated value, and a certain amount of desuperheating water can be guaranteed.In this paper, appropriate models are used to simulate furnace combustion, the flow characteristics of single chamber double tangential combustion are summed up. The influence of CFS velocity on anti slag is analyzed. CFS velocity of 46m/s can form the best characteristic of “air wraps coal”, generates less NO. In addition, the influence of SOFA nozzle horizontal angle on deviation of the furnace outlet temperature is analyzed. With the SOFA nozzle horizontal angle decreases gradually, the deviation of rear panel superheater and final superheater gradually decreased, the NO gradually increased. Therefore, the position of SOFA nozzle horizontal angle should be based on the heating surface safety, coal properties, NO emissions.
