Arc stranded wire spring is also called as arc stranded spring. There is a lot of predominant characteristics compared with single spring and arc single spring, such as high intensity, absorption of vibration effectively, resistance to shock, high life-span and security, so it has great application value and good application prospect. The performance of the different parameters arc stranded wire spring has the very big difference, but looking from the existing literature, it has not related research both at domestic and foreign. So this article established the mathematical model of arc stranded spring and the numerical simulation for the operation of arc stranded spring was taken by FEM. To study the characteristics of arc stranded spring, find out its law of friction between the wire and improve its service life laid a solid foundation.This article main research content is as follows:① According to stranded spring complex structure and forming principle, the space geometry curve equation of arc stranded spring was deduced.② Set certain parameters of the three arc stranded spring, use of the established space geometry curve equation, draw the space curve arc stranded spring, import it into Pro/E has completed 3D model, verify the validity of the space curve. In order to more quickly and effectively to build three-dimensional model of arc stranded spring, completed the space curve parametric modeling of the mathematical model.③ Refer to the arc spring stiffness formula derivation, using discretization method, arc stranded spring stiffness formula was deduced.④ Based on the mathematical model and parts of literature theory, arc stranded spring force analysis model was established. Analyzes the arc stranded spring force in the process of compression deformation vibration velocity, displacement, stress, and so on.⑤ The nonlinear of geometry, material and contact on the operation of the arc stranded spring was analyzed, and the finite element method(FEM) for the nonlinear performance was introduced. The numerical simulation for the operation of arc stranded spring was taken by FEM, simulated the deformation under load, the distribution rule of the stress and strain state. And the inherited frequency and the modes were obtained by Modal analysis. All of the results reflect the operation of stranded spring.
