If you want to add or remove some of the Smart Substation functions, to increase the program to increase, reduce certain components of the SCD file model or virtual loop to improve the transmission of information to complete, and no longer need to change the physical cable. Accordingly, the design, construction, acceptance, maintenance and fault diagnosis of the two system of substation has been greatly changed, which has brought a great impact to the field work personnel to adapt to the two maintenance mode of the traditional substation.Has been put into operation in the smart substation operation from the point of view, the Smart Substation Fault and defects of the vast majority of existing in the process layer, and researchers focus on Smart Substation Design and test research, specifically for Smart Substation process layer of fast fault diagnosis and location technology research at home and abroad to carry out less. On the face of the new problems caused by the new equipment, the field staff can only be found and summed up slowly, and change the thinking of the work. Ordinary maintenance personnel in the face of a completely different optical fiber loop fault, the lack of simple and easy detection means and testing tools, most of the problems are over reliance on manufacturers, which gives the site equipment for continuous operation and maintenance personnel troubleshooting has brought great security risks. Based on the actual situation of substation maintenance work, this paper summarizes the research on the equipment and circuit of the intelligent substation, and analyzes the differences between the two times of the conventional substation and the intelligent substation.
