Objective Postmenopausal women osteoporosis is a comprehensive disease and characterized by low bone mineral density, and mainly results from estrogen deficiency, treatment of women with hormone replacement therapy can prevent bone loss. Phytoestrogens’estrogenic effects and little toxicity or side effects can prevent osteoporosis and maintain normal bone metabolism. Although the dietary phytoestrogens consumption is obviously higher in our country than western countries, the incidence of postmenopausal osteoporosis still not decreases in our country. Thus, we suspected that genetic differences played a role among individuals. This study selected with postmenopausal osteoporosis relevance higher two kinds of estrogen receptor alpha gene polymorphism:PvuⅡand Xbal restriction fragment length polymorphisms and TA repeat sequence polymorphism, and jointly in Nanchang crowd dietary intake and analyze their relationship while they effect postmenopausal women bone metabolism. Methods Selected 100 postmenopausal women of Nanchang accord with the requirement of the investigation, collected basic material and diatery material of the sample. BMD of lumbar spine, femoral neck were measured by dual energy X-ray absorptiometry. The PvuⅡand Xbal polymorphisms of ER-alpha gene were detected by polymerase chain reaction-restriction fragment length polymorphism (PCR-RFLP), and sequencing methods detected the TA repeat sequence polymorphism. Results This study shows, (1) The differences of BMD of lumbar spine, femoral neek were no significant within high, medium and low groups with dietary phytoestrogens intake. (2) The result of correlation analysis showed that there were no relationship between BMD of lumbar spine, femoral neek with the genotype of PvuⅡand Xbal polymorphisms. (3) There were significant differences between osteoporosis group and non-osteoporosis, for the TA12 alleles were different frequency distribution (p<0.05). (4) The xx genotype of Xbal and TA repeat sequence S-type were positively correlated between the lumbar BMD and intake(p< 0.05)Conclusions Postmenopausal women in nanchang city, the ERa of estrogen receptor genotypes may affect dietary phytoestrogens bone reactive, for the xx genotype of Xbal and TA repeat sequence S-type were positively correlated between the lumbar BMD and intake. |
