Objective To compare the validity of Montreal cognitive assessment(MoCA)andmini-mental state examination(MMSE)in screening vascular cognitive impairment(VCI).Methods The subjects were divided into the Affiliated Hospital of Ningxia Medicalinpatient and outpatient58cases for the case group, and62cases of healthy persons as controlgroup. Through MoCA Scale and MMSE scale, to evaluate their level of cognitive function, statistical the MoCA Scale and the MMSE, and by plotting the ROC curve and sensitivity andspecificity of the statistical analysis to identify the best cutoff of the screening of VCI value. Results MoCA scale screening work showed a good correlation with MMSE scale (r>0.8), the original26points in normal cut-off value of screening sensitivity and specificity of96.55%and80.42%. Through MoCA Scale score corresponding to the sensitivity andspecificity to draw the ROC curve, and found that the area under the curve (AUC)=0.985,area under the curve of the MMSE scale is0.841. MoCA scale cut-off value is setcorresponding to the maximum of24time-sharing, the sensitivity and specificity of93.10%and89.87%, corresponding to the Youden index of all scores (YI=0.899).Conclusion (1)Scale of MoCA have good compliance in clinical.(2)MoCA Scale andthe MMSE scale evaluation score has a good correlation can reflect the situation of cognitivefunction being tested.(3)MoCA scale normal cut-off value for screening VCI patients may betoo high, the normal cut-off value set at24time-sharing screening VCI patients is morereasonable.(4) The MMSE scale screening VCI patients with low sensitivity in screening theapplication of VCI patients, MoCA scale is superior to the MMSE scale in the field of VCIscreen. |
