| Objective To detecting the expression of MMP-2and TIMP-2in gastric cancer,study MMP-2and TIMP-2expression in gastric cancer clinical relationship, to furtherexplore the invasion and metastasis of gastric cancer.Methods Collected from Qinghai Province People’s Hospital of Department ofGeneral Surgery and Surgical Oncology implementation of surgical resection and thepostoperative biopsy confirmed50cases of gastric cancer specimens in May,2010–October,2012. Using2010International Union Against Cancer/American Cancer JointCommittee (UICC/AJCC) TNM staging criteria: â… of10cases, â…¡ of16cases, IIIof18cases, IV of6cases; depth of invasion: the serosa no infiltration21cases, serousinfiltration in29cases; histological types:16cases of well-differentiated, moderatelydifferentiated12cases, poorly differentiated in22cases; lymph node metastasis in23cases,27cases without lymph node metastasis. Using SABC immunohistochemicaltechniques (immunohistochemistry) to detect MMP-2, TIMP-2expression in50patients with gastric cancer in gastric carcinoma and peritumoral non-neoplastic gastricmucosa in the case.Statistical Methods: Using SPSS17.0statistical software to analyze the data. Countdata using the X2test and correlation analysis. MMP-2positive rate in serosalinfiltration group is93.1%which is higher than that in the serosal non-filtration group(43.0%) with X~2=15.253and P<0.01and the difference is so obvious aftercomparision. MMP-2has a higher positive rate (91.3%) in lymph node metastasisgroup than in no lymph node metastasis group which is52.0%with X~2=9.206andP<0.05showing significant differences. MMP-2positive rate is96.0%in stageâ…¢+â…£group, higher than in stageâ… +â…¡group (61.5%) with X~2=8.554and P<0.01showingsignificant differences.â‘¡TIMP-2expression in gastric cancer group is30.0%positive,and in normal one is34.0%positive showing no obvious differences. TIMP-2positiverate in the serosal non-filtration group is85.7%, higher than51.7%in serosalinfiltration group with X~2=6.27and P<0.05, showing significant differences. TIMP-2has a higher positive rate (74.1%) in no lymph node metastasis group than65.2%inlymph node metastasis group with X~2=9.628and P<0.05. Their differences are soobvious after comparison.
