| OBJECTIVE:To investigate the relationship between the detection of cerebral microbleeds insusceptibility-weighted images and pathological. To investigate the correlationbetween the value of R2STAR in ESWAN with cerebral hemorrhage occurring. ToClear in MRI-ESWAN scan the sudden increase of R2STAR value of cortex and basalganglia of1-2weeks in advance if you can predict cerebral microbleeds.MATERIALSAND METHODS:Obtained spontaneously hypertensive stroke susceptibility (SHR) elderly malemouse model30,in accordance with the experimental program of continuousmonitoring of blood pressure and regular MRI scans.Blood pressure was monitoredusing a recording of each SHR rats systolic (SBP) and diastolic blood pressure (DBP).By using animals coil scan, MRI scan sequences include ESWAN,3D-FRSG andT2-WI,then we measure the R2STAR value in ESWAN and observe whetherthere is a phase diagram in the micro-bleeding lesions of rat brain, recording the timeand location of microbleeds stove.Any part of the phase diagram or the magnetivediagram of ESWAN sequence in the brain micro-bleeding or hemorrhage isconsidered as positive group,When found no micro-bleeding or hemorrhage isconsidered as negative group. Once the rats were found have micro-bleeding orhemorrhage in ESWAN,the rats were sacrificed right now. Then pathologicalexamination of brain tissue with MRI images were analyzed. No bleeding group ratswere sacrificed at the end of the experiment.Repeated measures analysis the R2STAR value variance by comparing different time and parts in rats brain beforebleeding.RESUITS:Seventeen model rats in Spontaneously hypertensive stroke susceptibility (SHR)elderly male rats occur spontaneous cerebral hemorrhage, however nine is not bleeding, but four died in the experiment. No statistically significant (P>0.05)between the positive and negative blood group. In positive group R2STAR value ofthe central area in cerebral cortex and basal ganglia lesions higher than the last timein the negative group has a significant difference before bleeding for one to two week(P <0.05). R2STAR values in the central area of the lesion and the contralateralmirror area in positive group are steadily rising from thirty-eight to sixty-eightweek.However R2STAR values in the central area of the lesion group in positivegroup increases faster from sixty-eight to seventy-four (P <0.05), the changes in thecontralateral mirror area is relatively flat.In positive group before bleeding for one totwo week, the R2STAR values in cerebral cortex and basal ganglia lesions weresignificantly higher than the contralateral side of the central area of the mirrorarea, they have a significant difference (P <0.05).After the ESWAN processingimage, the distribution of micro hemorrhage or hemorrhage is consistent withpathology distribution where we observed. The positions where R2STAR valueelevated in ESWAN are consistent with the positions followed by micro-bleeding orhemorrhage.CONCLUSION:Susceptibility-weighted images can detect cerebral hemorrhage and reflectmicrovascular disease pathology basic accurately; the R2STAR value where slightlyelevated in cortex and basal ganglia have followed occurring micro-bleeding, and theposition of micro-bleeding is consistent with the location of pathology.Using ESWANscan we measurement the changes of R2STAR value may indicate spontaneoushypertensive intracerebral hemorrhage;... |
