Objective:Assess diagnosis value of CEA and CYFRA21-1in primary lung cancer. Methods:CEA andCYFRA21-1were detected and analysed retrospective analysis wasconducted on329patients with lung cancer and192patients with benign lung diseasebetween May2012and May2013.Results:The serum levels of CEA and CYFRA21-1were increased in the more advancedstages of lung cancer. Sensitivity, specificity and positive predictive values of CEA in thediagnosis of primary lung cancer was67%,62%and75.2%using3.2ug/L as a standarddiagnosis, respectively. Sensitivity, specificity and positive predictive values ofCYFRA21-1in the diagnosis of primary lung cancer was48%,87%and86.3%using5.0ug/L as as a standard diagnosis, respectively.Sensitivity, specificity and positive predictivevalues with the combination of positive CEA and positive CYFRA21-1in the diagnosis ofprimary lung cancer was13%,98%and91.3%using the cut-off level, respectively. The combination of positive CEA and positive CYFRA21-1as as a standard diagnosis in thebenign disease was only2%.Conclusion:The results showed that CEA≥3.4ug/L and CYFRA21-1≥5.0ug/L are valuable inthe diagnosis of primary lung cancer, and the conbining of the serum level of CEA andCYFRA21-1are helpful to distinguish primary lung cancer from benign lung disease. |
