| Objective:To investigate the E2F3expression in clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC) and their Peritumoral tissue samples, and to analyze the function of E2F3in the onset and malignant progression of clear cell renal cell carcinoma (ccRCC).Methods:Message RNA and protein levels of E2F3in ccRCC surgical specimens and their Peritumoral tissue samples were detected by real-time PCR and immunohistochemistry respectively, the relationship between the mRNA levels of E2F3and clinicopathological features, protein levels of E2F3and clinicopathological features were analyzed, respectively. Results:the mRNA levels of E2F3were significantly down-regulated in ccRCC tissues compared to adjacent normal renal tissues(0.051±0.073VS1.841±1.551,P<0.001).The tendency of the protein levels alteration in ccRCC and Peritumoral tissues were correspond with that of the mRNA levels (0.434±0.109VS0.779±0.103, P<0.001). The mRNA and protein levels of E2F3were differentiated largely among different groups in terms of TNM stages and clinical stages (mRNA level,0.018±0.009VS0.184±0.157, P<0.05; protein level,0.407±0.115VS0.494±0.063,P<0.05), but not age and sex (P>0.05).Conclusion:E2F3may be a key point in the development and malignant progression of ccRCC. |
