| Objective: To evaluate the Clinical application of vacuum sealing drainage(VSD)on slender narrow pedical flaps transplantation.Methods:.25patients with soft tissue defect were restored with slender narrowpedical flaps transplantation, including13facial carcinomas,7pressure sores,4perinealskin necrosis and1crus post-traumatic skin muscle necrosis with bone exposed. All thepatients were presented with slender narrow pedical flaps transplantation. First of all,Rubber drainages made of longitudina were put under the slender narrow pedical flaps;Secondly, In the receiving areas, the VSD were operated on the slender narrow pedicalflaps transplantation, negative pressure was300mmHg half an hour and3hours130mmHg interchangeably. For deep wound with more exudate, negative pressure wasincrease and the interval time became shorten. VSD actively absorb congestion and wasremoved after48-72hours.Results:2pressure sores patients with distal necrosis of skin flap were cured after change the dressing of the wound. The transplantations of23other patients were successful. Follow-up of3months to1year,the flap were found satisfactory. Conclusions:The application of vacuum sealing drainage using the high negative pressure can eliminate the dead space, thoroughly remove thenecrotic tissue, promote wound healing. The VSD was a kind ofsafe, easy and effective treatment for flap transplantation,it reduced the patients’pain and suffering significantly, and it also was a worthful clinical application in plasticsurgery. |
