| Objective:To describe the prevalence of medication adherence in old patient with hypertensionas well as the self-perception of the aging and to explore the effects of self-perception ofaging to medication adherence. Methods:Through convenient sampling and cross-sectional study methods, I use the instrumentof the general data questionnaire, Morisky medication adherence scale, aging perceptionquestionnaire. From November2013to February2014, elderly participants withhypertension were collected. And185cases of outpatients or hospital patients were fromthe first affiliated hospital of suzhou university and420cases of patients were form fifteencommunities in suzhou. The number of effective questionnaire is585. I combined with therelevant analysis, chi-square, on-conditionalbinary logistic regression analysis and unconditioned multivariable Logisticregression analysis to analysis the prevalence of medication adherence in old patients withhypertension as well as the self-perception of the aging and the effects of self-perception ofaging to medication adherence with antihypertensive monotherapy.Results:1.In cases of585elderly patients with hypertension, the cases with good medicationcompliance was200(34.2%) and the cases with not good medication compliance was385(65.8%) including with average level and poor level of medication compliance.2. Among score of elderly patients with hypertension, the score of emotionalrepresentation dimension was lowest(2.65±0.78), and the score of positive control dimension was highest(3.60±0.72). The total scare of self-perception aging in elderlypatients with hypertension was significantly correlated with the medication compliance(P<0.01). The every dimension of self-perception aging in elderly patients withhypertension was correlated with the medication compliance (P<0.05). The positive controldimension and positive result dimension was positively correlated with medicationcompliance. The rest dimensions of self-perception aging were negatively correlated withmedication compliance.3.The result in use of non-conditional binary logistic regression analysis show that theeight dimensions of self-perception aging were the factors of medication adherence4. The result in use of unconditioned multivariable Logistic regression analysis showthat among the eight dimensions of self-perception aging the independent factors were thecycle timing dimension(OR value:0.575,95%CI=0.395-0.837;P=0.004), positive controldimension(OR value:1.561,95%CI=1.149-2.122; P=0.004) and the Identitydimension(OR value:0.988,95%CI=0.982-0.994;P=0.000).Conclusion:The level of the medication adherence of elderly patients with hypertension was poorand the level of the average score in every dimension of self-perception of aging wasmedium. The nurse should pay attention to the interventions to some aspects of theself-perception of the aging and to advance the medication adherence. |
