【objective】Cerebral microbleeds (microbleeds) are small, punctuate hypointense lesionsseen in T2*Gradient-Recall Echo (GRE) and Susceptibility-Weighted (SWI) Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) sequences, corresponding to areas of hemosiderinbreakdown products fromprior microscopic hemorrhages. They occur in the setting ofimpaired small vessel integrity, commonly due to either hypertensive vasculopathyor cerebral amyloid angiopathy. To investigate related the risk factors Cerebralmicrobleeding. Previously,Mostly research emphasis on Cerebral microbleeds riskfactors, but In this study to investigate Risk factors about the numberof cerebral microbleeds and hemorrhagic transformation.【Methods】A total of200consecutive patients with CMBs confirmed by magneticresonance imaging (MRI) susceptibility weighted imaging(SWI)at General Hospitalof Beijing Military Command from August2011and March2013were enrolled,According to the number of CMBs on SWI,they were divided into three groups, amild group(1to5CMBs;n=111), a moderate group(6-15CMBs; n=86), a severegroup(≥15CMBs;n=30). The risk factors for affecting severity of cerebralmicrobleeds were analyzed. 【Results】Uaivariate analysis showed that there were no significant differences in gender, age, diabetes, history of atrial fibrillation, hypertension and carotid atherosclerosis, coagulopathy and antiplatelet aggregation therapy among the three groups(P>0.05).The severity of CMBs increased with the number of lacunar cerebralinfarction, and severity of leukoaraiosis, and cerebral hemorrhage rate also increasedwith severity of CMBs.There were statistically significant among the three groups (P<0.05). Compared with mild group after combining the moderate and severe groups, there were still statistically significant (P <0.05).(2) The Spearman correlationanalysis showed that the severity of CMBs was positively correlated with number oflacunar infarcts (r=0.392, P <0.01) and severity of leukoaraiosis(r=0.362,P<0.01)(3) After combining the moderate and severe groups, multiariable Logistic regressionanalysis showed the number of lacunar cerebral infarcts (OR=4.259,95%CI:3.064-5.620, P=0.001), severity of leukoaraiosis(OR=3.250,95%CI:2.351to4.665, P=0.003) were the independent risk factors for affecting severity ofCMBs.The severity of CMBs was positively correlated with cerebral hemorrhage(OR=1.813,95%CI:1.788to2.581, P=0.029)【Conclusion】The severity of leukoaraiosis, the number of lacunar infarction and cerebralhemorrhage are closely associates with the severity of CMBs.
