Objective: By analyzing the test results of serum allergen specific IgE antibody inthe patients with chronic gastritis, colonic polyps and irritable bowel syndrome, theexploration on whether there exits the correlation between allergic factors and thegastrointestinal diseases was studied.Method: From May2012to April2014, one hundred and fifty patients withgastrointestinal diseases were selected as experimental group in our hospital includingfifty-five patients diagnosed with chronic gastritis,35Patients with irritable bowelsyndrome and60patients with intestinal polyps. The diagnosis of chronic gastritis wasbased on gastroscopy and mucosal biopsy, irritable bowel syndrome the Rome Ⅲ IBSdiagnostic criteria and intestinal polyps enteroscopy and mucosal biopsy. Meanwhile,150healthy persons from our hospital for physical examination were selected ascontrols. EUROLINE method was applied to detect the serum concentration of allergenspecific IgE antibody from the patients and the healthy people. Whether there exists thecorrelation between allergic factors and the three kinds of gastrointestinal diseases wasanalyzed with software SPSS (version16.0).Result:1. The test results of300cases of serum allergen specific IgE antibody—the150patientswith three kinds of gastrointestinal diseases and the150healthy persons—indicated: Theseallergens whose serum allergen specific IgE antibody were positive results included treecombination, prevalent ragweed, mugwort, dust mite combination, house dust, cathair, dog epithelium, blattodea, mould combination, hen egg protein, peanuts, soybeans, beef, marine fish combination, fresh water fish combination, shrimp and crabs. Theseallergens whose serum allergen specific IgE antibodies were negative results includedhumulus scandens, mutton and milk. 2. Via ratio comparison of serum allergen specific IgE antibody test resultsaccording to the concentration between the150patients with three kinds ofgastrointestinal diseases and the150healthy persons, it was found: In the150healthypersons, serum allergen specific IgE antibody whose results were negative accountedfor87.33%and the concentration of specific IgE antibodies at the levels from1st to2nd grade12.67%;In the150patients, serum allergen specific IgE antibody whoseresults were negative accounted for42.67%, the concentration of specific IgE antibodiesat the levels from1st to2nd grade level34.67%, the concentration of specific IgEantibodies at the3rd grade level10.67%, and the concentration of specific IgEantibodies at the4th grade level or above the level12.00%.3. The comparison of the positive rate of serum allergen specific IgE antibodybetween the150patients with three kinds of gastrointestinal diseases and the150healthy persons showed: The positive rate of serum allergen specific IgE antibodiesfrom the150patients was higher than those from the150healthy persons. There wasstatistically significant difference between the patients and the controls (P<0.05). Thepositive rate of serum allergen specific IgE antibody from the patients with irritablebowel syndrome was the highest, followed by intestinal polyps and chronic gastritis. There was all significant difference between each gastrointestinal disease and thecontrols (P<0.05).4. The comparison of the positive rate of serum inhaled allergen specific IgEantibody between the150patients with three kinds of gastrointestinal diseases and the150healthy persons showed: The positive rates of serum allergen specific IgEantibodies of dust mite aggregation, dog epithelium, blattodea and tree combinationwere higher than those from the controls. There was statistically significant differencebetween the patients and the controls(P<0.05). The positive rate of serum inhaledallergen specific IgE antibody from dust mite combination was the highest in thepatients.5. The comparison of the positive rate of serum food allergen specific IgE antibodybetween the150patients with three kinds of gastrointestinal diseases and the150healthy persons showed: the positive rates of serum allergen specific IgE antibodies ofcrabs, marine fish combination, fresh water fish combination, hen-egg protein, shrimpsand soybeans were higher than those from controls. There was statistically significant difference between the patients and the controls(P<0.05). The positive rate of serumfood allergen specific IgE antibody from crabs was the highest in the patients.6. The positive rate of serum inhaled allergen specific IgE antibody at differentlevels in the aspect of concentration in the150patients with three kinds ofgastrointestinal diseases showed: At the levels from1st to2nd grade, the positive rateof serum allergen specific IgE antibody from dust mite combination was the highest. Atthe3rd grade level, the positive rate of dust mite combination was the highest. At the4th grade level or above the level, the positive rate of dust mite combination was thehighest.7. The positive rate of serum food allergen specific IgE antibody at differentlevels in the aspect of concentration in the150patients with three kinds ofgastrointestinal diseases showed: at the levels from1st to2nd grade the positive rate ofserum allergen specific IgE antibody from crabs was the highest. At the3rd grade level, the positive rate of marine fish combination was the highest. At the4th grade level orabove the level, the positive rate of crabs was the highest.8. The comparison of the positive rate of serum allergen specific IgE antibody inthe patients from the three kinds of gastrointestinal diseases: The positive rate of serumallergen specific IgE antibody from the patients with irritable bowel syndrome was thehighest, followed by intestinal polyps and chronic gastritis. The positive rate of serumallergen specific IgE antibody in the patients with irritable bowel syndrome was higherthan that of those with chronic gastritis. There was statistically significant difference(P<0.05).9.The comparison of the positive rate of serum allergen specific IgE antibody inthe patients with different sexes: the positive rate of serum allergen specific IgEantibody in the male patients was56.14%.Comparatively, the positive rate was56.34%.There was no significant difference between the patients with different sexes(P>0.05).Conclusion: There were higher positive rates of serum allergen specific IgEantibody in the patients with chronic gastritis, intestinal polyps and irritable bowelsyndrome compared with those from controls. In the patients, the positive rate of serumallergen specific IgE antibody from dust mite combination was the highest (21.33%)among the inhaled allergens and the positive rate from crabs was the highest (25.33%) among the food allergens. The correlation between allergic factors and the three kindsof gastrointestinal diseases, including chronic gastritis, intestinal polyps and irritablebowel syndrome, could be revealed by the detection of serum allergens. This study willprovide a certain basis for further intervention treatment in the future.
