| Objective:To explore the expression and clinical significance of CgA and Survivin in gastric canrcinoma. Methods:The expression of CgA and Survivin were examined in120cases of gastric carcinoma and their corresponding normal tissues by SP immunohistochemical staining. The relationships between the CgA or Survivin expression levels and its clinicopathological characteristics were also investigated.Results:1. The CgA-positive and Survivin-positive expression in gastric carcinoma were46.67%(56/120) and52.50%(63/120), which had statistical significant differences from5.83%(7/120) and9.17%(11/120) in normal gastric tissues.2. Expression of CgA or Survivin were closely correlated to TNM stages and pathological grading (P<0.01).3. Survivin positive expression rate was85.7%In56cases with CgA positive expression and the two index expression rate was significantly correlated using Spearman analysis (r=0.42, P<0.01).Conclusion:CgA and Survivin protein had a high correlation with TNM stages and pathological grading. CgA and Survivin play a synergistic role in the occurrence and development of gastric cancer. Results indicated that Survivin may provide a promising target gene therapy way of gastric cancer. |
