ObjectiveFrom the point of view of animal welfare, we study that the physiology of the SD rats will be affected by different temperature, humidity, light and noise conditions. It’s generated to provide guidance for the daily feeding and breeding animals, and to provide reference data for the standardization of laboratory animals.MethodsUsing physiological, biochemical and pathology indicators to study the impact of inappropriate temperature, humidity, light and noise conditions on the SD rats.1. Effects of environmental factors on blood and biochemical indexes in SD rats1.1Effects of temperature on blood biochemical indexes in SD ratsUsing temperature (10℃,20℃,30℃) and time (24h,48h,72h) two design points to divided SPF SD rats into nine groups [10℃24h group,10℃48h group,10℃72h group,20℃24h group,20℃48h group,20℃72h group,30℃24h group,30℃48h group,30℃72h group]1.2Effects of humidity on blood and biochemical indexes in SD ratsUsing humidity (30%,55%,80%) and time (24h,48h,72h) two design points to divide SPF SD rats into nine groups [30%24h group,30%48h group,30%72h group,55%24h group,55%48h group,55%72h group,80%24h group,80%48h group,80%72h group],10in each group, feed the SD rats under the environmental conditions, detecte their blood to compare with the control group, analysis of the experimental results by using SPSS statistical software, ANOVA.1.3Effects of light on blood and biochemical indexes in SD ratsUsing light (1001ux,2001ux,3001ux) and time (24h,48h,72h) two design point to divide SPF SD rats into nine groups (1001ux24h group,1001ux48h group,1001ux72h group,2001ux24h group,2001ux48h, group,2001ux72h group,3001ux24h group,3001ux48h group,3001ux72h group),10in each group, feed the SD rats under the environmental conditions, detecte their blood to compare with the control group, analysis of the experimental results by using SPSS statistical software, ANOVA.1.4Effects of noise on blood and biochemical indexes in SD ratsUsing noise (60dB,80dB,100dB) and time (2h,4h,6h) two design point, SPF SD rats were divided into nine groups (60dB2h group,60dB4h group,60dB6h group,80dB2h group,80dB4h group,80dB6h group,100dB2h group,100dB4h group,100dB6h group),10in each group, feeded the SD rats under the environmental conditions, detected their blood to compare with the control group, analysis of the experimental results by using SPSS statistical software, ANOVA.2. Effects of environmental factors on the organ coefficient of SD ratsSD rats reared under different environmental conditions fasting12h, be killed by cervical dislocation after blood collection, weighted and dissected, isolated heart, liver, spleen and other major organs, cleaned the organs’surface and dried with absorbent paper, accurated them by electronic weighing scales, finally calculated organ coefficient3. Effects of environmental factors on SD rats heart, liver, kidney pathologyTo keep the heart, liver, kidney in a concentration of10%formalin solution, observe and analyze their pathological changes.Result1. Effects of environmental factors such as temperature and humidity on physiological biochemical of SD ratsInappropriate temperature, humidity, noise, lighting conditions change the SD rat blood erythrocytes (RBC),hemoglobin (HGB),mean corpuscular hemoglobin (MCH),mean corpuscular hemoglobin concentration (MCHC);serum alanine aminotransferase (ALT), aspartate amino transfer enzymes (AST) concentration, albumin (ALB) increased; urea (UREA), creatinine (CREA).uric acid (UA) lower; triglyceride (TG), glucose (GLU) is reduced.2. Effects of environmental factors such as temperature and humidity on the organ coefficient of SD ratsThrough experiment, we find there were no significant differences for Organ mass and organ coefficient between each experimental group SD rats and control group of rats.3. Effects of environmental factors such as temperature and humidity on the SD rats main organs of rats pathological morphologyWe through experiment find that organs of experimental animals in each group of normal morphology, no significant tissue damage, there were no significant differences between each experimental group SD rats and control group of rats.Conclusion1. Short-term inappropriate temperature and humidity, light and noise conditions have some impact in laboratory animals physiological and biochemical, it also cause some damage to SD rats’kidney and liver function.2.Short-term inappropriate temperature and humidity, light and noise conditions did not significantly affect the quality of SD rats’main organs and organ coefficient.3. Short-term inappropriate temperature and humidity, light and noise conditions did not cause structural damageon to the SD rats’heart, kidney, liver.
