| ObjectiveTo observe the effect of131I removal of residual thyroid tissue and treatment of metastasis throid carcinoma after operation.MethodsDTC patients with no metastasis after surgery received oral131I treatment, total doses of60～300mCi,60-150mCi each time; with metastasis received accumulated doses of600mCi,120～200mCi each time. Two reatments were at least interval2months.Results13of16cases with no metastasis had blation of residual thyroid tissue after the first administration of131I,3cases successful after the second treatment and all131I scanning were negative in recheck.5cases with bone or lung metastasis had complete remission after3courses of treatment, no abnormal scanning were detected after2or6years, blood Tg were always negative. One case of undifferentiated thyroid carcinoma, thyroid disappear but mediastinum metastasis did not change during3months treatment of131I.Conclusion131I can remove residual thyroid tissue of different pathologic types of DTC after surgery, it also can diagnose, treat and prevent recurrence of differentiated metastasis. |
