| OBJECTIVES:To compare success and complication of transobturator vaginal tapeinside-out(TVT-O) and the tensionfree vaginal tape-secur (TVT-S).METHODS:A comprehensive literature search was conducted for all randomizedcontrol trials(RCTs) between1996and2014,using PUBMED,Cochrane LibraryELSEVIER, CBM, CNKI, VIP with the keyword “Stress Urinary Incontinence;Tension-free Vaginal Tape-obturator;Tension-free Vaginal Tape-Secur;prospective study†tocompare two surgical database about the complication rate of female stress urinaryincontinence with them. Methodology to identify randomized controlled clinical trials withlanguage restriction, Chinese and English. Then assess papers for eligibility andmethodological quality.Meta-analysis was performed with RevMan software5.1.RESULTS:A total of696females in7RCTs were included.Meta-analysis showedthat no statistical differences existed in the rate of postoperative urinary retentionã€de novourgencyã€tape eosion/mesh exposure between TVT-O and TVT-S(P>0.05).But the rate ofone year objective cureã€2-3year objective and2-3year subject cure were statisticallysignificant(P<0.05).CONCLUSION:The evidence indicates that TVT-O is an effective treatment forstress urinary incontinence with higher objective and subject cure rate and no significantdifference among postoperative tape erosion/exposureã€urinary retentionand de novo urgency compared with TVT-S. |
