| ObjectiveTo look for the correlation in generalized eczema and metabolic syndrome fromobserving and analyzing the clinical features of generalized eczema in178patients.Methods178generalized eczematous patients, who were all the in-patients in the department ofdermatology, were analyzed retrospectively in this clinical data. It is illustrated detailly inage, sex, courses of diseases, the place of onset, characteristic of cutaneous, allergic history, the history of disease and laboratory examination. Then used the statistical methods to getthe conclusions.Results1Basic information: Among the178patients,the average age was66.53±16.53yearsold, the ratio of male to female was3.05∶1, the ratio of chronic dermatitis to acutedermatitis was1.34:1.2. The history of disease: the178generalized eczematous patientswere also suffered with other diseases. Diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hypertension, hyperuricemia and coronary heart disease occupied20.2%ã€65.2%ã€40.4%ã€19.1%ã€50.6%respectively.3Allergic history:48cases had allergic history, accounting for28.2%,mostly in drug allergy.4Laboratory examination: eosinophils increased in116cases(65.2%)of subject with generalized eczema. LDH(lactate dehydrogenase heighten)increased in88cases (49.4%) of subject with generalized eczema, ALP (alkalinephosphatase) increased in42cases (22.5%) of them and TBA(total bile acid) increased in18cases (10.1%) of them.5Generalized male patients with eczema are likely to havediabetes, higperlipidemia and hyperuricemia, and longer duration.6Generalized eczemawith chronic dematitis are accompanied by elevated TBA.7Generalized eczema withmore than30%accompanied with the increasing of LP(a), LDH and EOS%.8Patientswith generalized eczema are treated by combination of drugs. Conclusions1Generalized eczema occurs most frequently in senile men. It is characterized bychronic dermatitis and less exudation or erosion.2More generalized eczematous patientswere complicated with hyperlipidemia, coronary heart disease and diabetes. And theincreased metabolic components associated with considerable morbidity.3Generalizedeczema with metblolic abnormalities are likely to occur in elderly male patients andaccompanied by elevated EOS%.4Generalized male patients with eczema are more likelyto have Diabetes, hyperlipidemia, hyperuricemia and longer duration.5Generalizedeczema with more than30%accompanied with the increasing of LP(a) LDH and EOS%.SignificenceTo provide the clues and thoughts for the diagnosises and treatments of generalizedeczema. And to provide a basis on exploring the correlation between generalized eczemaand metabolic diseases in the future. |
