This thesis reported the research of the chemical constituents of a traditional Chinese medicine Alpinia oxyphylla of ginger family, through a variety of means separation and NMR, IR, UV and MS structural identification technology. Alpinia oxyphylla is a traditional Chinese medicine commonly used for fighting stomach diseases such as vomiting, diarrhea, and also used for fighting kidney enuresis, frequent urination, and nocturnal emission, embolism17compounds were isolated and identified from this genus, including2new compound. The isolates included10diaryl-heptanes, five sesquiterpene compounds, two benzene derivatives and so on. Finally, the chemical compositions and bioactivities of Alpinia oxyphylla were reviewed.
